Programs in Creative Writing and Translation (APCWT) are run by the
university’s Department of English and offer a Master of Fine Arts in
literary translation:
• Translation – MFA
Candidates need a reading knowledge of 2 foreign languages. The MFA offers training in the practice and theory of literary translation, especially of translation into English.
APCWT: This is an excellent course for those wishing to specialize in literary translation and many other fields involving creativity, such as computer and video games.
Monterey Institute of International Studies, Monterey

Translation involves transferring a written message from one language to another, says the Institute’s website. The Monterey Institute offers all the following courses are offered for seven language pairs, one of which is German to English:
• Translation - MA
• Translation & Interpretation - MA
• Translation & Localization Management -MA
• Conference Interpretation - MA

Although listed by the American Translators Association as an institution offering translation courses, I find only a graduate program where you can learn German language:

The School of Humanities, Department of German offers:

also has an International Center for Writing and Translation at Irvine
and the Center is touted as one of the 5 academic institutions in the US
offering courses in Translation Studies – but for the life of me, I
can’t find their website or whether the program is still offered. Hope you have more luck.

The Department of World Languages & Cultures at Georgia State introduced graduate-level certificate programs in translation and interpretation in 1979. Translation program for French, German and Spanish.
• Translation - Graduate Certificate
• German – BA, IEML, MIB and as a Minor
Perimeter College at Georgia State also offers undergraduate German as part of its World Language program.
University of Hawaii

The University of Hawaii has a Center for Interpretation and Translation Studies (CITS) which offers an undergraduate degree (although I couldn't find any specific mention of German):
• Interpretation and Translation – BA
• Summer Intensive Interpreter Training (SIIT) - certificate (held every 2 years)
• Community Interpreting – certificate (coming soon)
